[PART_TIME Remote] Part-time, small FedEx package courier driver

Recommend that you live in Venice FL or one of its immediate surrounding areas.. This is a part-time job with potential additional hours if you want; flexible availability is key to additional hours/deliveries. You will use your own vehicle to deliver smaller / mostly light weight (under 25 pounds) packages in the central Venice area. Our driver will relay packages from Punta Gorda to you in Venice (no commuting for you). Then you will quickly, safely and professionally deliver packages to the end customer. Upon delivery you will need to properly scan the package, document delivery and obtain customer signature. You will be paid a flat rate for each stop/delivery you complete, so the more efficient you are, the more per hour you will make. You will be an employee of our company. This is a W-2 position, not 1099 contract employment. DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS: • Age 21 and older • Valid Florida drivers license (No CDL needed) • Good looking, dependable vehicle under 12 years old (preferably SUV or van type) • Good, safe driving record (will be verified with DMV) • Must clear criminal background check • Must be able to pass drug tests (both pre-employment as well as randoms once hired) • Prefer 6 months commercial driving experience in last 2 years. NOTE: examples of commercial experience may include Uber, lawn service trailer towing, restaurant food deliveries, bread route and more. • MUST pass DOT physical and obtain DOT medical card • Package weight will typically be 1-25 pounds but could be as much as 50 • Be able to learn and understand how to use a delivery scanner • Must be able to work as a team with other drivers. DUTIES INCLUDE: • Positive, upbeat interaction with customers and coworkers • Delivery and pickup of packages to/from customers • Learn and safely navigate streets on route • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Job Type: Part -time (10-20 hours per week) • Pay: Paid by the stop delivery which should average $25+ per hour depending on your speed, paid bi-weekly Benefits: • PTO after 6 months employment • Promote from within Schedule: • Full time • Part time • Monday to Friday • Weekend availability not required but would be a plus Experience: • Delivery: 6 months (Preferred) Language: • English (Required) License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required) • Must pass a certification course given by your trainer Work Location: • Venice Work Environment: • On the road all weather conditions Shift: • 2-4 hour shift • Day shift, start time 10AM Work Days: • Monday to Friday, with potential weekend opportunities Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) Apply Job!
