Key Responsibilities • Provide instruction and support to K-12 students who are blind, visually impaired, or experiencing vision loss. • Teach core curriculum subjects, Braille literacy, and essential independent living skills. Required Skills • Proficiency in teaching strategies tailored for students with visual impairments. • Familiarity with Braille literacy and standard curriculum subjects. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Capability to work autonomously as a tele-educator. Qualifications • A Master's degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students or a related discipline. • Valid Washington teaching certification (ESA) in Visual Education for grades K-12. • Prior experience in virtual teaching is advantageous but not mandatory.
