About the position The 1:1 In-Home Instructor position is designed for dedicated educators who provide personalized, in-person support to students, particularly those with unique learning needs. This role emphasizes a holistic approach to education, focusing on both academic achievement and social-emotional learning. Instructors will work with a 14-year-old student with autism and anxiety, tailoring their teaching methods to meet the student's individual needs and preferences, particularly in science. Responsibilities  Provide individualized, one-on-one instruction to a 14-year-old student with autism and anxiety. ,  Tailor teaching methods to meet the student's unique learning needs and preferences. ,  Collaborate with the student's support team to enhance academic and personal growth. ,  Utilize online teaching tools and Zoom for instructional support when necessary. ,  Maintain effective communication with the student and their family regarding progress and needs. Requirements  Minimum of one year of instructional experience. ,  Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. ,  Superb written and verbal communication skills. ,  Ability to confidently use Zoom and online teaching tools. Nice-to-haves  Teaching credentials (not required but preferred).
