As a Certified Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our animal patients by assisting... veterinarians with various medical procedures and providing excellent care to our clients' pets. Key Responsibilities: • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures by preparing animals, equipment, and medications. • Monitor the vital signs of animals and report any changes to the veterinarian. • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian. • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations, under the supervision of a veterinarian. • Provide compassionate care to animals, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout their visit. • Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and post-treatment care for their pets. • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients. • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilizing instruments and maintaining equipment. Requirements and Qualifications: • Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician with an active certification. • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program. • Proven experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting. • Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and common diseases. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team. • Compassion for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality veterinary care. • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. • Physical ability to lift and restrain animals and perform other tasks that require strength and stamina.
