Key Responsibilities As a Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include: • Managing the preparation of intricate federal and state income tax returns for S Corporations, Partnerships, and individual clients. • Conducting comprehensive tax research and strategic planning to enhance compliance and optimize tax strategies. • Reviewing financial statements and tax-related documents to pinpoint tax-saving opportunities and deliver insightful recommendations to clients. • Providing expertise on pass-through taxation issues and addressing complex tax inquiries. • Keeping abreast of the latest tax law developments to integrate into compliance and planning processes. • Collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy and thoroughness of tax returns and relevant documentation. Required Skills To excel in this role, you should possess: • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a tax senior capacity or a similar role, preferably within a top 15 CPA firm. • A valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license. • Extensive knowledge and experience in S Corporation and Partnership taxation. • Strong capabilities in tax research and planning, coupled with a solid understanding of complex tax matters. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail. • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with clients and colleagues alike. • Proficiency in tax software and related IT tools. • The capacity to work autonomously in a remote environment, showcasing high levels of self-motivation and discipline. Qualifications Candidates should have: • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • A Master's degree in Taxation or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
