Position Summary: As a Technical Artist, you will bridge the gap between artists and programmers, ensuring the seamless integration of artistic assets into the game engine. This role demands a deep understanding of both the creative and technical aspects of game development, focusing on optimizing assets and enhancing visual quality while maintaining performance. Key Responsibilities: • Tool Development: Create and maintain tools to improve the efficiency of the art team. • Optimization: Ensure that art assets are optimized for performance without sacrificing visual quality. • Shader Development: Develop and refine shaders to achieve the desired visual effects within the game engine. • Collaboration: Work closely with artists and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to art production. • Pipeline Management: Streamline the content creation pipeline to ensure smooth integration of assets into the game. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or a related field. • 4-6 years of experience in a technical art role within the gaming industry. • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, MEL) and experience with game engines like Unreal Engine. • Strong understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, and animation. • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for creating visually stunning games. Compensation: Salary: $85,000 to $115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
