Description The Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant (FA) plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being, safety, security, and comfort of passengers aboard the aircraft. They provide a variety of services aimed at delivering exceptional customer service, engaging in passenger interactions to answer questions, address concerns, and promote onboard products. Following FAA and Frontier guidelines is crucial for maintaining passenger safety and responding effectively to emergencies or security concerns. Frontier Flight Attendants must adhere to all Federal Aviation Regulations and Frontier Airlines policies and procedures. A valid passport is essential, with the ability to travel unrestricted in and out of the United States and to all current and future international destinations served by Frontier Airlines. While 1 to 2 years of customer service experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Applicants must present a neat and professional appearance, adhering to the airline's uniform and appearance guidelines. Flight Attendants should be aware that during normal duties—which include stretching, reaching, and bending—tattoos must not be exposed, even briefly. Tattoos on the forearm, wrist, leg, or ankle may be covered with waterproof makeup that matches the skin tone, applied conservatively. However, tattoos on the hands or above the collarbone (e.g., neck, face, or behind the ear) are not allowed, and makeup cannot be used to cover them. Candidates must be willing to relocate to their assigned base and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts. They should be prepared to travel for long durations and adapt to job demands, such as accepting schedule changes on short notice, and must be open to flying both international and domestic routes. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential, and candidates must be fluent in English, able to communicate clearly and effectively, especially in stressful situations. The role requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating leadership and teamwork among fellow employees and passengers. Physical requirements include heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 60 pounds frequently. Flight Attendants must be able to sit and secure themselves with a seatbelt and shoulder harness in all jump seats without modifications or the use of extensions. Physical Requirements The role of a Flight Attendant requires significant physical effort and the ability to perform repetitive motions, such as bending at the waist and knees and maintaining those positions for extended periods. Candidates must possess 20/20 vision (or adequate vision correction) and sufficient hearing to safely carry out essential functions, including interpreting and responding to onboard chimes, call buttons, and public address announcements. Standing throughout most of the work shift is required, as well as performing duties in a pressurized cabin for extended durations. Flight Attendants must have the physical strength to access and operate all emergency equipment and exits, including managing door and window exits in manual and emergency modes. This includes operating a 33-pound window exit and dealing with emergency mode door resistance. The role also involves pushing, pulling, or moving a galley cart weighing up to 100 pounds and handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds frequently. The ability to lift luggage weighing up to 35 pounds from the floor to a height of 33 inches (e.g., from the floor to a passenger seat) and from 33 inches to 67 inches (e.g., from the passenger seat to the overhead compartment) is necessary. Additionally, Flight Attendants must be able to secure themselves in the cabin jump seat using the safety belt and shoulder harness without extensions and be capable of balancing and reaching across seats to serve passengers effectively.
