As the Lead Machine Learning Engineer for Meraki Assurance, you will lead engineering teams to advance Network Assurance applications through machine learning and AI solutions. The Dashboard is central to the Meraki cloud ecosystem, widely used by network administrators worldwide. Your mission is to elevate Meraki Dashboard with innovative AI features that enhance simplicity, scalability, and security, while meeting the evolving needs of large network administrators. You will need to effectively guide a team of skilled ML/AI engineers, fostering collaboration and building strong partnerships with engineering leaders, UX designers, product managers, and security experts. At Meraki, collaboration is key, and you will work closely with your team and cross-functional partners to develop and integrate ML/AI features into the Dashboard platform. Responsibilities:

  • Set the technical vision for the Meraki Assurance ML/AI roadmap in collaboration with senior engineering leaders and product management.
  • Guide the ML engineering team in defining short, medium, and long-term goals to realize this vision.
  • Contribute to recruiting strategies to build a diverse and inclusive team, making hiring decisions accordingly.
  • Mentor and coach engineers through technical challenges.
  • Work on projects across networking domains to help scale ML solutions by managing large data volumes.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in machine learning, data engineering, software engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
  • Experience in building large-scale AI models and systems using MLOps practices; including deep learning models with frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch.
  • Proficiency in writing robust, maintainable, and extendable code in Python and/or R.
  • Experience with complex datasets, ETL pipelines, SQL, and data engineering.
  • Expertise in cloud architecture and technologies like AWS, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Terraform.
  • Experience developing scalable, production-ready Generative AI solutions.
  • Understanding of real-time technologies such as Kafka and ClickHouse.
