Location: Greenville, South Carolina (Hybrid/Remote flexibility) Job Type: Full-Time | Commission + Base Salary | Flexible Schedule Job Summary: We’re seeking a driven Advertising Sales Representative who knows the Greenville restaurant scene inside and out. The ideal candidate has prior experience selling to local restaurants, chefs, or hospitality businesses and maintains a strong network of direct contacts with restaurant owners, chefs, and managers in the Upstate area. Your role will be to generate advertising sales for our print and digital platforms, connecting local dining establishments with an engaged and targeted audience of food lovers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Sell print and digital advertising space to restaurants and hospitality brands.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (owners, chefs, GMs) in the Greenville food industry.
  • Develop customized advertising solutions aligned with client goals and brand fit.
  • Identify new business opportunities through referrals, local events, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, pitching, closing, and account retention.
  • Collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to align advertising with content opportunities.
  • Attend relevant food and hospitality events to represent DINE-greenville.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience in advertising/media sales or B2B sales within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Established network of contacts in the Greenville, SC restaurant scene.
  • Strong understanding of the unique marketing needs of local restaurants.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Passion for food, local business, and community engagement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience selling print and digital media advertising.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Background in marketing, culinary arts, or media publishing is a plus.
