Head Bookkeeper & Payroll

We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive Head Bookkeeper & Payroll to join our Finance team and help support our financial operations in our Tel Aviv office. This role is ideal for someone passionate about full-cycle bookkeeping in a global, fast-paced environment. You’ll ensure accurate records, optimize financial processes, and help maintain compliance with local regulations.

In this role you'll
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and reconciliations

  • Prepare and record journal entries as well as maintain accounting schedules for month-end and year-end close (including accruals, payroll, depreciation, and prepaids)

  • Oversee statutory filings such as VAT, withholding tax, and social security

  • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)

  • Support implementation and optimization of ERP systems and financial workflows

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure smooth audits and accurate reporting

  • Identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting processes

  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analysis

What you'll need
  • Certified Bookkeeper Type 3, required

  • 10+ years of bookkeeping experience, including global and multi-currency environments Solid understanding of payroll processes and local tax regulations (VAT, social security, withholding, etc.)

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping experience: AP, AR, reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, accounting schedules and journal entries

  • Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical and organizational skills

  • Fluent in Hebrew and English (written and spoken)

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

  • Experience with Workday, SAP, Hashavit, or similar systems, plus background in tech/public companies or additional languages, a plus

  • Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week
