About Colonist

We're building the biggest digital board game platform on the internet. Last year, our players spent 2,466 years playing 45 million games on our Settlers of Catan alternative. We're a fully remote, asynchronous team spread across multiple continents, focused on crafting extremely polished digital board games that people truly love.

About The Role

As a Team Coordinator at Colonist, you will take ownership of operations, ensuring our teams run efficiently. Your mission is to proactively enhance processes, identify pain points within the company, and enable the founders to focus on other key areas. You will play a crucial role in optimizing performance and driving efficiency in a fully remote, asynchronous environment, directly contributing to the experience of millions of players and enabling meaningful improvements across the company.

What You'll Do

  • Manage end-to-end operations for company events, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting.

  • Take ownership of administrative tasks, such as contracts, tool setup, payroll, and benefits management.

  • Drive overall performance improvements by assessing team inefficiencies and defining strategies to optimize processes.

  • Facilitate cross-functional communication, engaging with stakeholders, leadership, and leading company-wide meetings.

  • Oversee onboarding for new hires and develop strategies to enhance the remote work environment and strengthen company culture.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Team Coordinator, Operations Manager, Human Resources Manager, or in a similar role.

  • Proven ability to quickly identify and adapt to niche productivity tools.

  • Strong expertise in time management, performance tracking, and reporting.

  • Extensive experience in communication and coordination, effectively managing multiple stakeholders.

  • Financial & budgeting skills, including cost optimization and expense tracking.

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Working knowledge of legal and compliance matters, including contracts and benefits regulations.

  • Proven experience coordinating teams in remote, asynchronous environments.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of automation tools.

  • Experience in marketing and public relations.

  • Proficiency in data analysis for optimizing operational processes.
