What You Will Do

  • Execute Strategy: Lead the EHS strategy for the Northeast region's businesses and operations.
  • Implement Policies: Implement and enforce EHS policies, processes, and programs.
  • Ensure Compliance: Facilitate adherence to governmental regulations and provide governance.
  • Business Partner: Act as the EHS partner for field services, manufacturing and distribution operations, interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership Team: Execute strategy and lead EHS standardization as part of the Americas EHS Leadership Team.
  • Change Agent: Lead EHS resources in the Northeast region to achieve Zero Harm.
  • Manage Operations: Oversee EHS operations for multi-site projects and locations.
  • Support Compliance: Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

How You Will Do It

  • Lead a Team: Drive EHS systems and programs across projects, sites, and locations.
  • Talent Management: Oversee EHS talent development and engagement in the Northeast region.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to local and country regulations, representing the company with regulatory agencies.
  • Policy Implementation: Support your team in managing safety/environmental policies and procedures.
  • Training Programs: Lead programs to train managers and employees in EHS practices.
  • Incident Analysis: Analyze and report incidents, ensuring root cause understanding and corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Report Compilation: Collect and compile incident/environmental reports for corporate and regulatory agencies.
  • Audits: Lead and participate in EHS audits and risk assessments.
  • Permit Review: Regularly review and support compliance with site environmental operating permits (Air, Water, Waste).
  • Regulatory Compliance: Partner with JCI Legal on compliance issues.
  • Data Management: Prepare and maintain EHS data records.

What We Look For Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, Safety, or related field.
  • 10+ years of EHS and leadership experience in manufacturing, with knowledge of relevant regulations.
  • Experience with EHS management systems
  • Experience with regional environmental policies and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Strong leadership, presentation, training, organization, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access, TEAMS, PowerPoint) and Process MAP EHS software.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%.
  • Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team facilitator, providing hands-on training and coaching.
  • Success in managing systems and processes, being action-oriented and energetic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred:
  • EHS certification (ASP, CSP, PE, CHMM).
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma methodology.
