A Day in the Life

In this position you will work on machine learning projects (classical and possibly deep learning) for medical applications. The projects will include feature selection and classification tasks to reserch which characteristics have impact on treatment.

Internship details:

• Start date: September and onwards
• Duration: 5 – 6 months
• Working hours: 40 h/week with flexibility (exams and holiday period)
• Location: Maastricht – in the office
• Other location fully remote

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Data preprocessing and preparation
• Develop and evaluate machine learning models (classical and possibly deep learning)
• Perform feature selection
• Documentation and reporting
• Present results to team and stakeholders

Required Knowledge:

• Pursuing a Master degree in higher education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Biomedical Engineering
• Proficiency in English (preferred as C1 or above)
• Strong mathematical background
• Strong Machine Learning skills- both theoretical and practical experience
