About the position The IT Consultant II Solutions SSD - Epic Cadence is responsible for providing support for customers and assigned applications, including software implementation, integration, configuration, and testing. This role involves solution design, translating requirements into technical solutions, and evaluating third-party vendors. The consultant will work on business-specific projects, ensuring adherence to procedures and policies while collaborating cross-functionally to solve complex problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for customers and assigned applications, including software implementation, integration, configuration, and testing.

  • Support solution design and translate requirements into workable technical solutions.

  • Evaluate third-party vendors as directed.

  • Complete work assignments and support business-specific projects by applying expertise in the subject area.

  • Develop work plans to meet business priorities and deadlines.

  • Coordinate and assign resources to accomplish priorities and deadlines.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to make effective business decisions.

  • Solve complex problems and escalate high-priority issues or risks as appropriate.

  • Leverage multiple business requirements gathering methodologies to identify business, functional, and non-functional requirements.

  • Develop and document comprehensive business cases to assess costs, benefits, ROI, and TCO of proposed solutions.

  • Provide insight and support the evolution of applications, systems, and processes to a desired future state.

  • Map current state against future state processes and identify the impact of requirements on solution components.

  • Provide recommendations on integrating requirements with current systems and business processes.

,

  • Identify and validate value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements or efficiencies.

,

  • Support continuous process improvement by participating in the development and maintenance of standardized tools, templates, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, CIS or related field.

,

  • Minimum of six (6) years experience in IT consulting, business analysis, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • Two (2) years experience in software or system testing across multiple IT environments.

,

  • Two (2) years experience in asset management.

,

  • Three (3) years experience working for a health care organization.

,

  • Three (3) years experience working for an IT organization.

,

  • Two (2) years experience working on projects requiring integration of cross-functional technology and/or business solutions.

,

  • Two (2) years experience in workflow analysis, including the use of modeling software (e.g., Visio).

,

  • Two (2) years in a leadership role working with project or technical teams.

,

  • Two (2) years experience in business case development and analysis.

,

  • Two (2) years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership.

,

  • Two (2) years working in Managed Print Services or print service delivery.

,

  • Three (3) years experience in solutioning process/service metrics and reporting.

,

  • Experience in implementing new business processes or driving end user workflow changes within an enterprise.

,

  • Two (2) years software or application development experience.
