Job Description:

Join Warner Bros. Discovery, a premier global media and entertainment company, as a Software Engineer II in our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems, driving innovation and excellence in the media and entertainment industry.

Role Overview:

• Develop, test, document, and implement SRE capabilities to improve reliability and scalability of application services on public cloud infrastructure
• Automate and develop self-healing solutions, leading to operational efficiency and cost optimization of public cloud infrastructure
• Partner with service engineering and operations engineering teams to implement best practices, improving service reliability and scalability
• Contribute to high-performance, stability, scalability, and support of systems in production, troubleshooting issues and resolving problems

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in software engineering, with a depth of knowledge in software engineering fundamentals, SDLC, automation, and managing applications on public cloud infrastructure
• Good understanding of SRE concepts, including SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, MTTR, and MTTD
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, observability ecosystem, and programming languages such as Python, Bash, Java, or Go
• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience in troubleshooting service/infrastructure issues and using industry-standard observability tools
