Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure maximum performance and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy
• Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive government information

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala
• Expertise in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, or similar
• Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
