Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate student learning by implementing specific curriculum within the Southeast Island School District
• Establish and develop positive relationships with students, families, staff, and the public
• Communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and public
• Prepare, maintain, and organize appropriate records, reports, and forms as required
• Utilize instructional technology tools to enhance learning opportunities for students
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students

Requirements:

• Baccalaureate degree in appropriate academic field or verifiable training/experience in Alaska Native language/culture or in a vocational/technical field
• Alaska Type A, C, or M Teaching Certificate as appropriate to assignment
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding school district related matters, students, families, and staff
• Physical ability to safely, regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
