Job Title: Principal Architect - Operational Technology (Remote)

Job Description:

Join United Airlines as a Principal Architect - Operational Technology, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cybersecurity landscape. As a key member of our Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team, you will lead efforts to mature our Operational Technology (OT) security capabilities, ensuring the safety and security of our customers' and employees' information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security-relevant documentation and partner with cross-functional teams to adopt security standard processes across the OT system lifecycle
  • Stay informed about the security landscape, including internal and external threats, regulatory requirements, and policy changes
  • Lead the creation of OT security technology strategies and roadmaps, collaborating with key partners to develop reference architectures and architectural patterns
  • Define and develop metrics programs to track the maturity, evolution, and health of our cybersecurity program
  • Effectively communicate and mitigate risk and issues, engaging with leadership, key collaborators, and the broader security team to drive day-to-day security operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, with 7+ years of technical experience, including a blend of OT, NOC, and/or other technical skills
  • Advanced experience with information security principles, practices, technologies, programs, and procedures
  • Fundamental understanding of IT and OT network communication protocols
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Data Science, or Cybersecurity
  • 10+ years of technical experience, with 6 years directly related to OT and Security
  • Familiarity with information security standards and frameworks, including ISO 27002, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks
