We're seeking an exceptional Program Manager to lead our global events security team, ensuring seamless and secure experiences for our customers and stakeholders. As a Manager, Global Events, Protective Services, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing comprehensive security strategies for high-profile events, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute global events security plans, ensuring alignment with Amazon's leadership principles and business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including Event Managers, stakeholders, production companies, and law enforcement contacts, to deliver secure and successful events.
  • Manage and control costs, budgets, and vendor contracts, while prioritizing multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analyze risk and threat assessments, creating and revising vital security documents to ensure effective security measures.
  • Provide clear and compelling briefings, feedback, and written communications to stakeholders, PS Leadership, and internal business partners.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships internally and externally, driving collaboration and alignment.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations, applying proactive problem-solving skills to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Utilize tools and standards for managing security for events, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer delight.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Event Management, Program Management, or Business Development, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global teams, manage competing objectives, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • 24/7 on-call availability and willingness to travel with short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master's degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP, CMP, or comparable certifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to compliance and confidentiality.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $79,500/year to $170,000/year, depending on location and experience.
