Job Title: Evening Warehouse Supervisor - Pet Supply Industry Leader

Job Description:

As a key member of our logistics team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of products in and out of our warehouse, while providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train, direct, and develop warehouse personnel to achieve accurate, on-time, and damage-free product movement
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and controls to optimize warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, and inventory management
• Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
• Supervise and evaluate warehouse staff, providing feedback, coaching, and discipline as needed
• Collaborate with external vendors, maintenance personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless warehouse operations
• Utilize labor and warehouse equipment efficiently to maximize order accuracy and productivity
• Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety protocols

Ideal Candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced warehouse professional with:

• Associate's degree in business, warehouse management, logistics, or operations, or 4 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
• 1 year of previous supervisory experience, including training, development, and evaluation of employees
• Strong understanding of DOT guidelines and experience working with leased or owned vehicles, common carriers, and UPS
• Excellent computer skills, including experience with Warehouse and Transportation Management Systems
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work proactively and reactively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and supervision skills, with the ability to develop, direct, and discipline staff

Working Conditions:

• Able to safely operate and become certified in the operation of all warehouse equipment, including forklifts, walk-riders, electric pallet jacks, and pallet jacks
• Lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Standing/walking for duration of shift
• Temperature varies based on weather conditions
• Warehouse environment is not 100% dust-free
