Customer Service Manager - Remote at Wayfair

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Manager to lead our remote customer support team at Wayfair. As a Customer Service Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving loyalty, and fostering trust. You'll manage a team of 8-16 customer support specialists, providing coaching, training, and guidance to ensure they meet customer needs and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of customer support specialists, providing training, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure success
  • Supervise customer support specialists responding to calls, emails, and chats from customers with post-order issues, including returns, replacements, and refunds
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, making recommendations to optimize team performance
  • Conduct side-by-side observations and quality assurance reviews to ensure high-quality customer interactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Human Resources and Senior Leadership, to address employee issues and drive business outcomes
  • Respond to escalated customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in customer-facing and management roles
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in fast-moving environments
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to provide instant feedback and coaching
  • Experience with multiple software packages and technologies, with the ability to navigate complex systems
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to drive performance and achieve business goals
