We are seeking a talented engineer to join our DynamoDB Storage team, where you will be responsible for designing and developing the foundation of the service. Your code will securely, reliably, and efficiently store petabytes of customer data, enabling clients to access it in milliseconds or less. You will contribute to the evolution of our architecture into a future, high-performance system that enables clients to access data even faster and work at scale more efficiently.

As a senior engineer, you will tackle the most challenging problems in distributed systems, sitting at the intersection of low-level storage systems and high-scale distributed systems. You will collaborate with other senior engineers and principal engineers to deliver results that make our customers' experience significantly better. Your responsibilities will include:

• Translating business objectives and product direction into detailed architecture and design
• Leading multi-engineer, cross-team projects, and mentoring others on project management and prioritization
• Delivering high-quality projects and features on time and on budget
• Driving design reviews for the engineering team and setting technical best practices
• Participating in the full lifecycle of daily development activities, including prioritization, task breakdowns, writing design documents, and code reviews
• Performing data analysis to identify opportunities to optimize our services
• Staying up-to-date with current technical knowledge to support rapidly evolving technology
