Position Overview

In this pivotal role, you will manage a caseload of students, offering personalized guidance, support, and coaching to ensure their academic success. Utilizing exceptional communication skills, you will build strong relationships with students, staff, and faculty, providing expert advice on university policies, procedures, and resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students, providing tailored guidance, coaching, and support to ensure academic success
• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to engage students, promote retention, and foster a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with various departments to support student needs, resolve issues, and promote academic progress
• Utilize data and analytics to inform advising practices, identify areas for improvement, and optimize student outcomes
• Stay up-to-date with university policies, procedures, and regulations, ensuring compliance and providing expert guidance to students

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse student needs and preferences
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience in student information systems and customer service software
• Ability to research, analyze information, and exercise independent judgment, with a strong focus on student-centered advising
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with a bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in academic advising, student affairs, or a related field
