Senior DevOps Engineer - Shape the Future of Manufactured Home Financing

We're seeking an exceptional Senior DevOps Engineer to lead our technical initiatives and drive the adoption of DevOps best practices. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools. Your expertise will help us optimize our systems, ensure high availability, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a DevOps roadmap, defining value propositions and tradeoffs, and operating with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Guide engineers in adopting DevOps best practices, including observability, monitoring, alerting, SLO/SLI's, CI/CD, IAC, performance, and security.
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives with SRE, security, and development teams, mentoring on DevOps practices and driving technical decisions.
  • Deliver solutions for critical projects, such as cloud migration, disaster recovery, and infrastructure scaling.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

  • 10+ years of DevOps experience, with a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability.
  • 5+ years of production experience with non-trivial AWS infrastructures.
  • 3+ years of production experience with Terraform.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability tooling, and infra/network security best practices.
  • Proficient with Zippy's stack: AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Datadog, Postgres.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Ruby and related build systems and tooling.
  • Experience with Python and related build systems and tooling.
  • Microsoft stack experience (small footprint).
  • Experience with monorepos and related tooling.
