What We Do

The Maps SDK team builds the open-source libraries that power our mobile maps. From flagship smartphones to smartwatches, HMDs, and autonomous vehicles, our SDKs run on a diverse range of devices. Developers worldwide use our tools to create chart-topping apps, games, and navigation experiences. Whether it’s an AR game, a popular consumer app, or autonomous driving technology, we collaborate with them to define what’s next in mapping innovation.

What You'll Do

As an Engineering Manager, you’ll lead the Nav SDK team in advancing the maps and navigation ecosystem at Mapbox. In this role, you will:

  • Mentor and Develop Talent: Support and inspire engineers, fostering a culture of growth, creativity, and innovation.

  • Promote Collaboration and Innovation: Build an inclusive and collaborative environment where data-driven decisions fuel success.

  • Drive Strategic Objectives: Align your team’s work with company and product goals, ensuring strategic cohesion.

  • Define Product Roadmaps: Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape the roadmap for our Maps SDKs.

  • Shape the Vision: Play a key role in envisioning and evolving our rendering engines, contributing to business and product planning.
