Job Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team on a part-time basis. As a CVS Virtual Remote team member, you'll play a critical role in providing top-notch phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug treatments. This role offers a competitive salary of $26/hour and the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and handle new patient prescription orders and reorders, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Verify and refresh benefits, communicate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Assist patients with interpreting and entering new or reorder prescriptions into our pharmacy data system.
  • Collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and facilitate communication between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
  • Monitor, identify, resolve, and adjudicate orders with financial or clinical issues, ensuring seamless processing and patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, empathizing with patients and internal partners to meet financial and clinical expectations.

Essential Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a client support role, handling and resolving complex customer needs via telephone.
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web browsers, and email applications.
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, with demonstrated skills and fitness.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six months of experience resolving complex customer needs via telephone.
  • Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
