Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative – Union Benefits Specialist, you will play a critical role in educating union members about the benefits available to them through their affiliation. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to union members, responding to their inquiries, and addressing their concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Educating members about the benefits available to them, including health insurance, life insurance, and other union-provided benefits
  • Working with union associations to resolve any issues or concerns that may arise
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of member interactions and benefits information
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and service delivery
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with union members and internal stakeholders
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Fluency in English (bilingual in any language is a plus, but not required)
  • Ability to work remotely and maintain a high level of productivity and engagement in a virtual environment

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working with labor unions, credit unions, or associations
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and union-provided benefits
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues
