[Remote] NESD Test Engineer | Active Secret clearance

They are seeking a Test Engineer to provide software test and evaluation capabilities, lead QA efforts, and ensure software meets operational needs and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide Software Test and Evaluation Capability - plan, prepare, and perform testing, evaluation, verification, and validation of software to evaluate results against specifications, requirements, and operational need
- Team lead role, responsible for providing guidance and leadership to test team members. (Not a people manager)
- Lead QA efforts for BMC Helix, ensuring automated ticketing, anomaly detection, and incident lifecycle management function properly
- Developing and maintaining comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure that software meets specifications, requirements, and operational needs
- Conducting unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing to identify and report defects and discrepancies
- Prepare and deliver reports and advance analysis related to past performance and future efforts
- Verifying that software meets functional and non-functional requirements, including security, usability, and accessibility
- Validating that software meets operational needs and user expectations, including conducting user acceptance testing and feedback sessions
- Identifying and reporting defects and discrepancies, and collaborating with development teams to resolve issues and implement fixes
- Developing and maintaining test environments, including test data, test scripts, and test tools. Ensuring methodology and procedures meet company and industry standards
- Conducting testing and evaluation of software in various environments, including development, staging, and production
- Conducting testing and evaluation of capabilities against various hardware, operating systems, software versions, and environments
- Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and refine testing and evaluation strategies, including identifying and prioritizing testing objectives and scope
- Providing testing and evaluation results and recommendations to stakeholders, including developers, project managers, and operational users
Skills
- Active Secret clearance required
- 8+ years of Test Engineering experience
- Validation of workflows within BMC Helix or closely related enterprise service management platforms
- Establishing QA frameworks to consistently evaluate unstructured, dynamic AI outputs for accuracy and safety
- Design and execution of test plans for Agentic AI, focusing on multi-orchestration, intent recognition, and decision trees
- Testing automation frameworks capable of evaluating APIs, microservices and web interfaces
- Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline
