[Remote] Healthcare Project Manager

Hicks Professional Group (HPG) is seeking a Healthcare Project Manager to lead day-to-day project delivery for software implementation and transformation initiatives. The role involves developing project plans, managing budgets, and ensuring project governance while collaborating with various stakeholders to align project execution with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day project delivery for software implementation, optimization, and transformation initiatives
  • Develop and manage integrated project plans, milestones, dependencies, deliverables, resource plans, and status reporting
  • Partner with client sponsors, project leadership, functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and operational stakeholders to align project execution with business objectives
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests
  • Facilitate project meetings, workstream checkpoints, steering committee updates, risk reviews, issue-resolution sessions, and executive briefings
  • Coordinate across implementation workstreams, including discovery, design, build/configuration, integrations, data conversion, testing, training, cutover, go-live, and stabilization
  • Ensure project governance is followed, including clear decision rights, escalation paths, meeting cadence, documentation standards, and approval processes
  • Track and report project health, including progress against milestones, budget performance, resource constraints, open risks, critical issues, and upcoming decisions
  • Drive accountability by clarifying owners, due dates, expectations, dependencies, and follow-up actions
  • Support readiness activities by partnering with change management, training, operational leaders, and go-live support teams
  • Identify delivery risks early and develop practical mitigation plans to protect timeline, quality, budget, and business outcomes
  • Support go-live planning, command center readiness, issue triage, escalation management, and post-go-live stabilization
  • Maintain project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, decision logs, status reports, meeting notes, action trackers, and governance materials

Skills

  • Must be self-represented, no 3rd party applicants
  • Will be required to travel 25-50%
