[Remote] District Sales Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ProAg, a member of Tokio Marine HCC group of companies, is seeking a District Sales Manager in Iowa. This role involves developing strategic relationships with agents to drive business and meet sales goals, while also serving as a trusted advisor and subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products.
Responsibilities
- Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding ProAg’s insurance offerings. Drive additional business through a variety of means including agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence
- Meet or exceed sales goals for both existing and new business within Iowa, along with developing and maintaining a database of current and prospective agents
- Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts to help them grow and manage their business
- Become a subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products, business, and applications, as well as staying up-to-date on industry trends. Gain and maintain a clear understanding of Crop Insurance and ProAg’s Standard Reinsurance Agreement
- Monitor competitor and industry trends to identify trends and changes in the marketplace
- Collaborate with internal resources as necessary to prepare for and deliver necessary training or educational events with regional training staff on ProAg programs, products, and technology
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and government regulations
- Perform other relevant duties and projects assigned
Skills
- At least two years of sales experience
- Exceptional communicator with the ability to facilitate cross-functionally
- Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company's business
- Required to travel outside normal work location, travel is up to 75%
- Ability to work independently, focusing on achieving organizational goals and tasks with drive and energy to succeed
- Ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies
- Crop insurance experience
