[Remote] Principal Product Management Manager

They are seeking a Principal Product Management Manager to oversee a portfolio of AI and GPU Azure VM products, focusing on simulations, machine learning, inference, and gaming, while working with cross-functional teams to deliver these products effectively.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a team responsible for delivering mission critical customer products, focusing on managing a portfolio of AI and GPU Azure VM families optimized for simulations, machine learning, inference, remote visualization, and gaming. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Mentor and grow a Product Management and Technical Product Management team that is customer obsessed, data-driven and owns end-to-end product lines through delivery with agility and quality
  • Working directly with core Azure engineering teams to deliver class-leading Azure VM product offerings that is workload-optimized for the target customer segments focusing on product innovation, quality, performance, reliability, and scale throughout the full product lifecycle
  • Work on solving complex technical problems through defining roadmaps for features & capabilities and work with the engineering teams on their implementations
  • Engage directly with customer stakeholders to understand their workload needs, requirements, and ensure alignment on existing and future product offerings in Azure
  • Lead large cross-group partnership opportunities across a diverse set of partner development teams
  • Work with senior leaders within Microsoft to align on the product strategies and roadmap, secure cross-team support, and drive clear execution of deliverables

Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • 1+ year(s) people management experience
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years people management experience with a solid track record of leading, growing and coaching a team of strong and diverse product managers and technical program managers
  • 4+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework)
  • 6+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn)
  • 6+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product)
  • 4+ years experience proven product management track record defining product strategies and delivering AI product offerings in a fast-paced, cloud based, and demanding environment
  • Deep knowledge of compute workloads and technologies employed by customers in the areas of simulations, machine learning, inference, remote visualization, and gaming
  • Comfortable working at the intersection of hardware architectures and software tools across a broad set of technologies including CPUs, GPUs, FPGAs, RDMA, high-speed interconnects like InfiniBand, AI frameworks, and distributed cloud computing environments
  • A growth-mindset that enables creativity in thinking, strong analytical skill, an ability to deal with ambiguity, management of changing priorities, and consistency in learning from others
