Senior Costume Buyer - Internal Assignment (Hybrid Role)

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Costume Buyer to join our dynamic team in a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from our remote office and home. As a Senior Costume Buyer, you will play a vital role in sourcing and procuring raw materials, supplies, and finished goods that bring our Disney theme parks, resorts, and cruise ships to life.

In this exciting and challenging position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with vendors, monitor warehouse inventory, and develop and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors. You will also be responsible for implementing procurement policies and guidelines, meeting customer service requirements, and mentoring and providing feedback to team members.

Responsibilities:

• Source, develop, and procure products that meet organization requirements and initiatives
• Monitor warehouse inventory and complete withdrawal transactions as needed
• Place orders for garments and accessories in SAP and Coupa, and monitor delivery dates
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, and seek and onboard new vendors
• Partner with Disney Cruise Line (DCL) and Costuming Operations to maintain costume quality and design
• Implement The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) procurement policies and guidelines
• Meet customer service requirements for service, quality, and value at the lowest total cost
• Mentor and provide feedback to others to further develop the team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in apparel or hardline purchasing and/or sourcing
• Experience with garment construction and terminology
• Experience in international shipping processes, global sourcing, and compliance
• Experience in planning, problem-solving, conflict resolution, influencing, and negotiating
• Experience communicating (written & verbal) with all levels of partners (internal and external)
• Ability to work around all types of fabrics, fibers, and synthetic furs
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
