Job Summary:

Join Amazon's dynamic team of security professionals as a Program Manager, Global Events Security, and play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our high-profile events worldwide. As a leader in this field, you will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, developing and executing comprehensive security plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and management of global events security, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security plans, protocols, and procedures for high-profile events, balancing risk, threat, and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with event managers, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Manage and control costs, budgets, and vendor relationships, while maintaining high-quality security services.
  • Analyze key priorities, identify gaps, and create plans to close gaps, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships internally and externally, fostering a culture of trust and cooperation.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing, to stakeholders, leadership, and team members.
  • Navigate ambiguous and dynamic environments, applying proactive problem-solving skills to drive results.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing team, providing coaching, guidance, and growth opportunities.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in event management, program management, or business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with global teams and manage competing objectives in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • 24/7 on-call availability and willingness to travel with short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or master's degree in Business Management or a related field.
  • Professional certifications, such as PMP, CMP, or comparable certifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with ability to articulate ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • High ethical standards, with proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary range: $83,900 - $170,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
